I photograph what most people walk past.
For over twenty years I've photographed the street — hard light, long shadows, strangers passing through pools of lamplight. Noir isn't a filter you add afterwards; it's a way of seeing. That's what I teach.
Lessons happen outside, on foot, camera in hand — not in a classroom. We walk Almere Centrum together, and I show you how to read light, build a frame, and wait for the moment. You'll leave every session with photographs you made, not notes you took.
You don't need expensive gear or any experience. Bring whatever camera you have — a phone is fine. Lessons are in English; Türkçe ders de mümkün.

Starter Pack — 3 sessions
01Seeing light and composition
We go outside and shoot. I show you how to read light and build a frame — the two things that separate a snapshot from a photograph. Phone or camera, your choice.
02The exposure triangle
Shutter speed, aperture, ISO. We cover what each one does and how they work together. By the end you control your camera instead of guessing.
03Your first intentional shoot + editing
We combine everything from sessions 1 and 2. You shoot, I give real-time feedback. Then we go through a simple editing workflow on your phone — you leave with finished photos you actually made on purpose.
Deep Dive Pack — 5 sessions
01–03Starter Pack content
Same as above — composition, exposure, and your first intentional shoot.
04Introduction to street photography
A walk through Almere with a specific brief. We talk about timing, distance, decisiveness — and you practise all of it in real time.
05Noir style and your own project
We look at what makes a photo feel atmospheric — shadow, contrast, mood. Then we review your best shots from the full five sessions and talk about where to take your work next.

Common questions
Do I need my own camera?
You need something to shoot with, but anything works — a DSLR, a mirrorless, an old compact, or just your smartphone. If you're thinking about buying a camera, hold off until after your first session; I'll help you choose something that fits how you actually shoot.
Where do the lessons take place?
We meet in Almere Centrum — usually at the station — and shoot on location from there. The city centre has everything we need: hard light, glass, shadows, and people. If you'd like to shoot somewhere else in Almere, just ask.
How do I book a lesson?
Send me a DM on Instagram (@ozzyphoto_com). Tell me a little about yourself and what you want to learn, we agree on a date, and I send a Tikkie link to confirm. That's it — no forms, no accounts.
I'm a complete beginner. Is that a problem?
It's the opposite of a problem — beginners are exactly who these lessons are for. You don't need to know what aperture means. We start from how you see, not from what you know.
Can I try a single session before committing to a pack?
Of course. The €65 single session is a complete lesson on its own and a perfect way to see if my way of teaching suits you. Many students start there and move to a pack afterwards.
What language are the lessons in?
Lessons are in English, designed for Almere's international community. Türkçe ders de mümkün — lessons in Turkish are also possible, just mention it when you book.
Can I book a workshop for my own group?
Yes — if you have 3 to 6 people (friends, colleagues, a team outing), DM me and we'll set up a private group workshop at €35 per person. It's a relaxed 2.5-hour street walk, no experience needed.
